This paper explores the symbiotic relationship between the body positivity movement and the naturist (nudist) lifestyle. While body positivity has gained mainstream traction as a response to unrealistic societal beauty standards, it often remains confined within a textile-centric, appearance-based framework. Conversely, naturism offers a pragmatic, lived experience of body acceptance through communal, non-sexualized nudity. This paper argues that the naturist lifestyle functions as a radical, therapeutic intervention for negative body image, stripping away the social signifiers of clothing to foster an environment of innate equality and self-acceptance.
